“The world is rich in small wonders…but so poor in eyes that see them.” G.B.Wiggins, 1977, dedication
At 80 years, I am looking back fondly over my time as a researcher in aquatic entomology. Overcoming my original desire to study marine biology, I found the mystique in the subtlety and diversity of the freshwater invertebrates to be captivating. With guidance of Professor Glenn Wiggins, I chose to specialize in caddisflies, or Trichoptera, specifically in the family Hydropsychidae, and enjoyed a fruitful career under the auspices of the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
I produced one book and many publications as additions to the Trichoptera lore, and leave these as a retrospective of a successful career.
In retirement I have put my artistic skills to painting in watercolours.
